Technology is by no means perfect. Please make certain you have the ability to meet with your therapist uninterrupted. Consider that some amount of time may be spent troubleshooting audiovisual issues.
Before Your Visit
Choose your BEST DEVICE for virtual therapy
Ensure your device is FULLY CHARGED before you begin
TEST YOUR WIFI connection prior to starting your visit (unstable internet will interfere with the visit)
TEST AUDIO/VIDEO prior to starting your visit
LOCK UP pets or remove them from the room
Have your THERAPIST’S NUMBER handy in case there are technical issues
During Your Visit
Set up your device so that you are HANDS FREE to minimize distractions
Meet in the QUIETEST SPACE in your home (Ask others to leave the room for privacy)
Take notes with a PEN AND PAPER
ACT LIKE YOU WOULD during an office visit - ask questions and give a thorough explanation of your symptoms and issues
